  50. HOW TO USE 3D WINDOWS

  52. 3D Windows is a system extension.  To use it, all you need to do is drag it to your system folder and restart.  Put it in the extensions folder if you like.  3D Windows will take care of the rest.

  54. ABOUT 3D WINDOWS
  55.  
  56. 3D Windows makes no permanent changes to the window resources in your System file.  However it does add several color icon, (cicn), resources to your System file, that will remain there even after 3D Windows is removed from your computer.  In the unlikely event you wish to remove them, you can use a utility like ResEdit to do so.  Here are the following resources 3D Windows adds to your System file:

  60. These resources are totally harmless and do not effect the operation of your computer.  Don't worry about them.

  62. HISTORY

  64. 3D Windows was first released in April 1996 at version 1.0.  Several releases with minor modifications followed, 1.0b and 1.0c.

  66. Version 1.0.1 is being in July 1996.  It contains a more stable patch with smoother code that allows it to operate more efficiently.
